The concept is very simple: We put a discarded book on our shelf, and if you’re looking for something new to read, you can take another book home. The selection changes almost every week, and sometimes you can really get lucky and snag classics as well as bestsellers. Of course, there are also books here that might not seem particularly interesting at first glance but could be quite useful to some people, such as “List of Gluten-Free Foods 2021.”
It’s definitely worth stopping by! The book exchange shelf is located in the AStA wing of the Haarentor cafeteria building.
In addition to the book exchange shelf, we also have other reading material available at the AStA: issues of die kleine Weltbühne as well as various newspaper subscriptions, such as taz, jungle world, and Das Parlament, which you can read in our cozy seating area.
